A staple during the Carousel era who's harmonizing and bass playing is still prominent in the memories of those that frequented over the years. On a few occasions, should life prevent Margaret from playing, it was usually her brother John that would be able to fill in at a moments notice. Margaret would be part of the resident band alongside John Carroll on a STV Folk Production organised by Dominic Behan that was broadcast on Television every week.
Features on the John Doc album released on Nevis 'At The Carousel'. Bert would be a regular on bass at the Carousel for many artists and was held in high regard by many. Part of the Wishaw group The Midlander's Combo, he'd then have stints with The Crusaders and Sol Byron and the Impacts that also featured popular Wishaw musician Hugh D. Allan. As of 2022, Bert was still actively playing and based in Suffolk.
Based in Cowie, Rab played with Doc at the Bowling Club over the years while also being a part of the highly regarded Stirling group Alibi.
Part of The John Doc Band that performed at Wishaw's Little Caesar's for the tribute night to Jock Stein. Also features on the album 'Sincerely Yours'. Would also be part of the well known group Miami, also featuring John Fernon and Chuck McCormick.
Originally in a band called Easy Street before leaving to join The Doc alongside Joe Barron, Wullie was held in high regard around the scene, possessing a lot of talent that defied his years. He passed way before his time, around the age of 30, but left a lasting impression on many and is still remembered fondly to this day. RIP
Stemming from the popular Wishaw band of the time The Puppets with John Dickson, Bryce would join The Doc and be an integral part of his line-up over the years, playing in the likes of Hasties, the Carousel and beyond. He was a well known musician across Lanarkshire, also playing with Five's Company and Colin and the Key Men which took him over to Germany among other places where they played heavily. Sadly passed away in 2022. RIP

John would be a well known musician around Lanarkshire and played with Doc following his return as resident act at Hasties Farm. He would then go onto form Carlton Paige with Alan Goonery and the late, great Tam Stevenson.
A regular in the John Doc Trio that played in the Carousel and Cowie Bowling Club among other venues in the mid 70's and early 80's. John would be part of the resident band alongside Margaret Hendrie on a STV Folk Production organised by Dominic Behan that was broadcast on Television every week. As of 2023, John was residing in South Africa. John's brother Tommy was a piano stalwart in the Carousel over the years.

Performed in and around the Lanarkshire area in the 70's alongside Margaret Hendrie in The Doc's trio.
Stemming from the popular Wishaw group The Puppets alongside Bryce Sloan and a regular around Lanarkshire and beyond, Dickson replaced John Carroll in Doc's band and would be seen backing several acts in the Carousel over the years alongside his friend Bert McRoberts. His wife, Eileen, was known to be a great chanter aswell. John has sadly passed on. RIP
A 'weel kent' musician around Stirlingshire, Davy backed Doc and the boys behind the kit in Cowie on many a Sunday over the years. An integral part of the 1970's and 80's group 'Midas Touch', Davy has since released a book documenting Stirling's popular music scene, covering six decades. More info here.
